How do I invite Roody to my server?

Requirements

• Administrator or Manage Server permissions in your Discord.
• A Discord account verified by email (Discord requires this to authorise bots).
• A server you want to add the bot to.

Steps

1. Get the invite link

Always use the official link. You can get it from:

• Roody's main website (the "Add to Discord" button).
• The dashboard, by clicking "Add server".

2. Choose the server

Discord will show you a dropdown with the servers where you have enough permissions. Pick the right one.

• If you can't see your server, check that your role has Manage Server.
• You can add the bot to several servers by repeating the process.

3. Accept the permissions

The authorisation screen shows you the scopes the bot asks for:

• bot — to join the server as a member.
• applications.commands — to register the slash commands. Without this scope they won't appear when you type /.

Further down you'll see the Discord permissions Roody will use. Leave them all ticked; if you trim any, some modules will stop working. The per-module detail is in Bot permissions in Discord.

4. Confirm and verify

Click Authorise and complete the captcha if you're asked to. Once that's done:

• Roody appears in the server's member list.
• Its status should be online (green circle).
• Typing / in any channel should bring up its commands.

Try /serverinfo as a quick test: if it replies with the server card, everything is fine.
