1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit the web dashboard. They let us recognise you, remember your preferences and improve your user experience.
Cookies on their own do not contain personally identifiable information, but they may be linked to personal information you provide voluntarily.
1.1 Types of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary: the dashboard cannot work without them. They do not require your consent.
- Preferences: they remember choices you made yourself, such as the language.
- Referral attribution: a single cookie that notes an affiliate's code so a purchase can be credited to them.
- Analytics, marketing or tracking: we do not use them. Roody does not load third-party analytics or advertising cookies.
Every cookie in the list is first-party (the roody.es domain). No third party drops cookies from our pages: Discord and the payment provider can only do so on their own domains, when we send you there.
3. Managing cookies
3.1 Control from your browser
Every browser lets you configure how cookies are used. See the official instructions:
3.2 Consequences of disabling cookies
Important
- Strictly necessary: you will not be able to log in and the dashboard will stop working.
- Preferences: the dashboard still works, but it forgets your language and shows you again the notices you had closed.
- Attribution: nothing changes for you; the affiliate who referred you simply will not be credited.
4. Third-party services
No third party sets cookies on Roody's pages. We do send you to external services which, once on their domains, use their own and are governed by their policies:
4.1 Discord OAuth
- Purpose: authentication and authorisation to access the dashboard.
- Data collected: user ID, username, avatar and server list.
- Privacy policy: discord.com/privacy
4.2 Stripe
- Purpose: processing payments for premium subscriptions.
- Data collected: whatever you provide at the Stripe checkout (Roody does not see your card details).
- Privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy
5. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect:
- Changes in the cookies we use.
- New dashboard features.
- Changes in legal regulation.
- Improvements to our services.
When we do, we will change the "last updated" date and notify significant changes from the dashboard.
