Slash commands only.
Roody doesn't use prefixes: every command starts with
/ and Discord offers them with autocomplete.
Using a command step by step
- Type / in any channel where Roody can talk.
- Discord will show the list of available commands. Filter by
/roodyto see only the bot's. - Pick the command and fill in the parameters it asks for (required ones are marked).
- Press Enter. Roody will reply in the channel or with an ephemeral message (only you will see it).
Tip:
Discord remembers the commands you've used most recently and puts them at the top of the menu. Keep using the ones you care about and you'll find them faster.
Types of reply
- Public: the message appears in the channel and everyone sees it. That's the norm for polls, economy commands or visible moderation.
- Ephemeral: only you see the reply, and it disappears when you reload Discord. Roody uses this mode for most configuration panels and for private confirmations.

Commands anyone can use
These commands need no special permissions and are a good starting point:
/help— interactive panel with every command by category./serverinfo— server information./user info— information about a member (or about you if you don't pass a user)./poll— create a quick poll with reactions./afk— mark yourself as away with a message./8ball,/meme,/trivia— light entertainment.
What to do if a command doesn't show up
- Check that Roody is online in the member list.
- Restart the Discord client (Ctrl+R).
- Check that the bot's role has "Use Application Commands" in that channel.

What to do if a command errors out
When Roody replies with "You don't have permission" or "Missing configuration", check:
- That your role has the permission that command needs.
- That the matching module is enabled in the dashboard.
- That Roody has the Discord permissions the command requires (manage messages, ban, etc.).
